The Foundations

In Week 1, you meet your coach and group. You’ll set shared goals, learn the rhythm of the program, and start building a team mindset.
Week 2 brings a deeper dive into the basics: how pieces move, special rules, and key ideas like center control, king safety, and piece activity — the principles every strong player follows.
In Week 3, the focus shifts to you. What are your strengths? What do you want to improve? With your group, you’ll set clear goals and begin building good habits for learning and reflection.
By Week 4, you explore essential chess ideas — tactics vs. strategy, initiative, advantage — and learn the structure of a game: opening, middlegame, endgame.
By the end of Phase 1, you’ve done more than learn the rules — you’ve taken your first real steps as a player, with a team behind you and a path ahead.
Phase 2
Week 5-8
Strategy & Analysis
Now it’s time to play — with purpose.
In Week 5, you dive into training games focused on openings, tactics, and endgames. The goal: apply your fundamentals under fire.
Week 6 is review week. You analyze games with your group, spot habits, and clean up mistakes. Coordination and smart attacks become second nature.
Week 7 brings challenges and puzzles. Try to win without a blunder, solve themed tactics, or enter a fun group mini-tournament. Creativity and confidence grow.
In Week 8, it’s match time. You simulate real games, reflect on progress, and set your next goals.
By now, you’re not just learning chess — you’re playing like it matters.
Phase 3
Week 9-12
Own Your Game
This final phase focuses on self-guided progress, clear routines, and long-term mindset development.
Week 9: Define Your Style
Explore different playing approaches and recognize your natural strengths through game analysis.
Week 10: Learn How to Train
Build habits for independent study — reviewing games, setting drills, and learning from losses.
Week 11: Build a Personal Study Plan
Design a practical, sustainable routine that balances tactics, openings, strategy, and gameplay.
Week 12: Reflect & Refocus
Assess your progress, set future goals, and connect with your group on next steps.
